Dr Jasmine Gill graduated from St. Christopher’s College of Medicine in 2005. She went on to complete her Psychiatry Residency training at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ in 2010. Board Certified in Psychiatry, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), Dr. Gill has provided her expertise in many different levels of care. In addition to being the former Medical Director of the Partial Hospitalization Program at Fairmount Behavioral Health, Dr. Gill has also worked in an acute inpatient setting, residential rehab, and outpatient level of care.
Dr. Gill is an active member of many professional organizations including the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association. She has also published several journal articles and continues to pursue her passion for learning and education. She is committed to the field of psychiatry and is an advocate to heighten awareness of mental illness and substance abuse in the community
Joseph Sass brings to Avenues Recovery Center over 10 years of experience working with clients with substance abuse and mental health disorders. During that time, Joseph has been engaged in addictions research at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he authored/co-authored over 10 publications and national as well as international presentations from his ongoing involvement in the addictions field. Before coming to Avenues, Joseph held several clinical positions, including working at Johns Hopkins Medical Center.
After receiving his Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Joseph earned a Masters degree in Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded by the Dean the William E. Arnold Award for Outstanding Contributions by a Student. Joseph is currently completing his dissertation for his PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision from Loyola University, Maryland. Additionally, Joseph is a National Certified Counselor and has a Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling
Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Pennsylvania.
She strongly believes in taking a strength-based approach to treatment and encourages her clients to create healthier lives for themselves. Emily also values a systems approach to working with individuals Fully supporting the efforts to maintain change.
Emily has diverse experience addressing a variety of behavioral health issues. This includes clinical support and case management. Emily believes it is important to be adaptable as a clinician and meet the clients where they are.
Bob has been working in the addictions field for over twenty five years providing therapeutic interventions to individuals in need. Bob is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor as well as Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional in the State of Pennsylvania. His philosophy is to enhance and foster the lives of the individuals with whom he works, which includes not only the individual but also the family and support system of the individual.
Nancy is a certified Health & Wellness Coach, E-RYT Ashtanga yoga teacher, ACE Personal Trainer with a MS in Exercise Science. Nancy provides AVENUES a unique curriculum including meditation, Thai Massage, Aromatherapy, Nutrition & Holistic Recovery techniques designed to help clients make healthy lifestyle choices to reinforce the therapeutic experience. Through her energy, integrity, compassion and commitment, it is her hearts’ desire to facilitate a holistic approach for relapse prevention to instill the desire in every client to remain free from substance abuse & reunite families.
