Residential Counselor

Lacey Smock

Lacey Smock has worked in the recovery field for the past five and a half years. She began her career as a Behavioral Health Technician and later moved on to the admissions department. In her role as Admissions Coordinator and then Admissions Director, Lacey  has helped more than 1,000 people struggling with addiction receive access to care.

Lacey has always harbored a deep wish to help clients in an even more personal manner. With her recent promotion to residential counselor at Avenues, she has achieved that dream.

Lacey will soon graduate with a bachelor's of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Addictions. Once that is completed, she plans to further her credentials by obtaining her master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Additionally, Lacey  looks forward to receiving her NH Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification later this year.

Lacey  is committed to providing personalized care, and offers the empathy, compassion, and understanding her charges need to reach sustained recovery . Her passion for recovery stems not only from the fact that it’s her chosen field, but also because Lacey herself is a person living successfully in long-term recovery. Her job is deeply personal to her, and it shows in her exemplary performance.
