The work environment here is warm, kind, accepting and supportive. My superiors support me fully and trust my judgement wholeheartedly – after decades in the workforce, this alone is incredibly valuable! We all work hard; that is a given. But we work together towards the goal of helping our clients, and we celebrate each other each day. I love coming to work each day!

I came to Avenues looking for a career change, after 30+ years of doing medical billing. I was ready for something new. I have experience in many other fields, so I let our Executive Director pick the job she thought would be best for me at our Prince Frederick location. My position as Operations Manager was a new and exciting role, and I was going to do my best to meet the expectations set forth. Every day is new adventure, and no two days are the same. I love being able to help clients on a different, more relaxed level. I enjoy the smiles on their faces when I can make their requests come to fruition. I really enjoy coming up with new projects to make an impact on the facility. I want the clients to feel comfortable for the 60 days they are here. I enjoy planning and showing the clients that you can have a great time in life without needing mind-altering substances.

I am in awe of the creativity of our staff, the depth of their caring, and their willingness to go above and beyond for every client. When at work, we know our goal and we know that we must work in tandem to achieve it. We save lives and understand the sacred roles that we play. I love what I do and who I work with!

I’ve worked at Avenues since the very beginning… and have moved my entire life down here because of my complete faith in the administrative team. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience working here, as I have always been provided the support and encouragement I need to succeed… It is a pleasure to work here and I am so grateful to have management that supports me.
