Jennifer Taylor, RN, serves as Nurse Manager at Avenues Recovery Center at Richmond. Originally from Highland Springs, Virginia, just outside of Richmond, Jennifer brings compassion, curiosity, and a whole-person approach to addiction treatment. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and will begin pursuing her RN-to-DNP degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner through George Mason University this August.
Jennifer chose a career in addiction treatment out of a passion for helping individuals improve their mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being while overcoming substance use challenges. Her approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and meeting people where they are, with a strong focus on building trust and addressing the underlying factors that contribute to addiction. Jennifer believes recovery is not always linear and encourages individuals to keep moving forward with her personal motto: “Reset. Restart. Refocus. As many times as you need to—just don’t quit.”
Outside of work, Jennifer is an avid sneaker collector and passionate traveler who loves exploring new cities, museums, and local food spots—sometimes on spontaneous same-day trips. She enjoys creating memorable experiences and believes some of life’s best moments come from stepping outside of your comfort zone.
