SLIDELL, LA, November 4, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Avenues Recovery is saying thank you to the Louisiana National Guard for their recent efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

"We feel deeply indebted to the local Louisiana National Guard Troops for their exceptional efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida," says Matt Engler, Executive Director at Avenues Recovery of Louisiana. "Their tireless work on behalf of us all, including building a bridge to Lafitte, LA, and a myriad of other real-time recovery endeavors, deserves to be celebrated."

In conjunction with the National Guard, Avenues announced today the distribution of care packages to our troops. It is their way of expressing how much the brave people who consistently go beyond the call of duty mean to the community.

On November 7, Avenues will visit the 2225th Multi-Role Bridge Company of the National Guard in Slidell, LA, to distribute T-shirts and some other fun swag to Soldiers as a small gesture of gratitude for their bridge rebuilding efforts. Additionally, the Avenues Recovery team will man an on-site booth at the Yellow Ribbon event for Soldiers returning from a deployment on December 4 in Baton Rouge, LA. Avenues will be on-site to personally say thank you and conduct outreach to all the attendees.

"The National Guard came through for us in a time of real challenge," added Engler. "As members of a grateful community, Avenues Recovery feels a strong obligation to recognize the real impact they made and to express their heartfelt appreciation to all the brave Soldiers who stand by us through thick and thin."
