Four men were arrested after two East Baton Rouge drug trafficking investigations turned up drugs, firearms, and cash across separate operations. Deputies identified the men as Anthony Daniels, Keshaun Hollins, Deangelo Adams Sr., and Deangelo Adams Jr., each facing charges tied to the cases.

The seizures were significant. Deputies reported methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA pills, fentanyl residue, firearms, digital scales, packaging materials, and money tied to the investigations, including cash seized during the case and funds frozen from Daniels’ bank account pending seizure.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office agents had been investigating Anthony Daniels, 41, over suspected methamphetamine trafficking. Deputies said they learned he was using Airbnbs and storage units to store drugs, firearms, and money, which made the case wider than one address.

Daniels was arrested after a search warrant at a home on South 17th Street. Investigators later reviewed a data dump from his phone on May 19, then searched a storage unit on Airline Highway connected to the case in Baton Rouge.

Deputies reported finding 145 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, suspected synthetic marijuana, oxycodone, alprazolam, Adderall, scales, packaging materials, and firearms. They also listed $170,860 seized or pending seizure, plus $69,000 frozen from Daniels’ bank account through a separate warrant.

Second Operation on Skysail Avenue and Governor Drive

On May 20, deputies served search warrants at apartments on Skysail Avenue and Governor Drive. The operation led to the arrests of Keshaun Hollins, Deangelo Adams Sr., and Deangelo Adams Jr., who the sheriff’s office identified as members of violent groups.

Deputies reported seizing cocaine, methamphetamine, 515 dosage units of MDMA pills, tapentadol, THC vape cartridges, suboxone strips, oxycodone, Vyvanse, promethazine with codeine, and marijuana. A blender with fentanyl residue also stood out, because it suggested more than simple possession inside the case.

Investigators also found 6 digital scales, boxes of plastic bags, $703, and four handguns. One weapon, an SCCY CPX-2 semiauto 9mm handgun, was reported stolen through Baton Rouge police, giving the search a clear firearms angle beyond the drugs.

Charges Filed Against the Four Men

Daniels faces several charges, including possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, marijuana, and alprazolam. Deputies also listed possession charges involving oxycodone and Adderall, firearm offenses, a drug-free zone violation, money laundering, and a fugitive warrant tied to Louisiana State Police Troop B.

Hollins faces a long list of drug charges, including distribution of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute MDMA, fentanyl, cocaine, oxycodone, tapentadol, and methamphetamine. Deputies also listed a clandestine fentanyl laboratory charge, paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm with CDS.

Deangelo Adams Sr. was charged with drug offenses involving cocaine, methamphetamine, and suboxone strips, along with juvenile presence, firearm, and stolen firearm counts. Deangelo Adams Jr. faces a narrower charge, possession of a Schedule II drug, cocaine, tied to the same operation.

Endnote

Debate around Baton Rouge drug enforcement often centers on how deputies connect money, weapons, storage spaces, and drug quantities into one clear case. Here, the frozen bank account, firearms, packaging materials, and phone evidence give prosecutors several paths to argue trafficking intent.

What comes next will likely involve court hearings, seizure actions, and lab testing on the suspected synthetic marijuana. For Daniels, Hollins, Adams Sr., and Adams Jr., the cases now turn on search warrants, seized evidence, and how each charge is proven.
