A wild police chase across four New Hampshire towns ended with two women in custody, multiple charges filed, and narcotics strewn across roadways. The pursuit, which began as a routine traffic stop in Epping, quickly escalated into a multi-agency operation involving deputies, state troopers, and local officers.
Authorities say 38-year-old Jennifer Santos of Dover was initially pulled over on Route 125 by Rockingham County Sheriff's deputies and Epping police. But before officers could approach, Santos sped off—triggering a high-speed chase that stretched through Epping, Raymond, Candia, and ultimately Auburn.
During the pursuit, police observed drugs being tossed from the windows of the fleeing car. Law enforcement deployed stop sticks in Auburn to puncture the vehicle’s tires, but even then, the suspects continued to drive until stopping at the Myles Travel Plaza on Auburn Road.
According to NBC Boston news, Santos now faces a long list of charges, including disobeying an officer, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, aggravated DUI, and falsifying physical evidence. Her passenger, 30-year-old Sheridan Fitzgerald of Londonderry, was also charged with drug possession and multiple counts of evidence tampering.
K9 units were deployed to recover the discarded narcotics, which were scattered along the chase route. Both women are currently held at Rockingham County Jail and are expected to be arraigned Wednesday.
