This place is phenomenal!! The classes are amazing, and you learn a lot about yourself and your addiction. No other rehab I’ve been to has been like this one. The staff are really about you and your recovery, they genuinely care! You also make amazing friends to keep in recovery. I seriously came in so broken and lost but by the time I graduated I’m a completely different person. It’s insane. I love myself and understand myself so much more. I can’t thank avenue’s enough for giving me my life back and getting me back on my feet.

Honestly can't say anything negative about my experience with avenues recovery in lake Ariel Pennsylvania. I've experienced quite a variety of rehabs in my 42 yrs and this one feels like home to me. Not only were they fast to move in my time of crisis but welcomed me with warm hearts and loving hands. I don't know where I'd be right now if not for this facility and the amazing staff in it. ...This place definitely saved my life. I was lost, broken, hopeless, depressed and ashamed of everything I had gone through and all the things that I'd done. From the moment I entered, I was welcomed with warm arms. Everyone was so welcoming, understanding and compassionate. I learned so many skills to help me during early recovery, to maintain recovery. The group facilitators are amazing. The therapists I had there were especially helpful, I will never be able to repay them. I met so many wonderful people that had different stories but ultimately the same experience with this disease. I was there at Avenues... for 35 days. I arrived and a gentleman named Steve welcomed me with open arms and a high five. I was at rock bottom of my life, addicted to crack cocaine and drinking all day, every day. The first couple of days were tough, going through detox, but the support you get... from the whole staff helps you big time. Attending classes every day and the interaction of all the other clients, we formed a great bond. I’m very proud to say I am still sober today; I found full time employment and am going strong! I can’t say enough about the program! I highly recommend Avenues to anyone that is struggling with addiction - this is the place to go. Thank you to Steve and the staff for helping me find me again.

Avenues have been life changing! The staff and counselors are so knowledgeable and welcoming. They taught me so much about my addiction and met me with so much love and acceptance. I have done the whole program and it is really good. It has really helped me to make good decisions and make good things come about in my life. As of now I'm going into sober living, and doors are already beginning to open up to me. I truly do recommend the Avenues in Metairie. The staff there are really loving ❤️ ❤️ people. Hands down this is the absolute best rehabilitation center in the state of Louisiana!! All the staff there are absolutely amazing, and they actually truly care about these patients, and most of them are in recovery as well so they know what it's like to be in your shoes!! I would recommend Avenues/Townsend to anyone and everyone who may ask for my opinion on where they should go for treatment!! So, if you are serious about recovery and actually want to be sober, then Avenues/Townsend is the place to go!!
When I was arrested on Jan 25th of 2025, I was broken and strung out on meth! I had nothing left! I wrote a letter to Avenues while incarcerated in St. Tammany Parish jail. On April 16th I walked into the doors of Avenues Recovery center. I was loved and cared for more than I had felt in a very long time. In 28 days, the staff and counselors here helped me find myself!! I highly recommend anyone still sick and suffering to give Avenues a chance. I found my home with Avenues you can too.
This was my first (and hopefully last) time at rehab. My very first night I was absolutely terrified. My initial plan was to only stay for 2 weeks, but after detoxing I realized I needed to work on my inner demons, and the entire staff helped me along the way. They really care about you and want you to succeed, and I ended up... extending my program to 45 days, that’s how much fun I had over there! I just recently made 6 months sober and never in my entire addiction did I think I could get this far. This place truly changed my life for the better and everyone around me can see it... I walked in as this shy, insecure girl and I walked out as the confident, optimistic woman I was always meant to be. I literally couldn’t have done it without this place.
During my time at Townsend I was treated with care and respect. People come in for all kinds of problems whether it be with alcohol, drugs, family etc… and all of our needs are met and we are given the proper tools and respect that we need to overcome whatever we are going to. It truly means a lot when you have people who want you to succeed even when sometimes you don’t want to yourself. I highly recommend this place if you are serious about your sobriety or if you need a reset. They will do whatever it takes to put you on the right path.
I won't lie, at first, I wanted to run right out the door. But I gave it a shot, and with the encouragement and support of the staff and my peers here at Avenues, I made huge changes in not only myself but my life. First, I had to realize that the biggest problem I needed to deal with was myself. If you are looking for rehabilitation for your substance abuse issues, I would recommend Avenues 10/10. Don't wait until your family is planning your funeral when you could be planning for a successful future here at Avenues!
Avenue is a wonderful program with staff who truly care about the patients. I want to thank everyone who helped, guided, and taught me while I was there. You all have loved me back to life. I have hope again! I highly recommend this program!
