You probably have questions, like:

How much does outpatient treatment cost?

The price of outpatient drug and alcohol addiction rehab varies. Factors include location, duration of stay, and amenities offered. Additionally, there are two types of outpatient addiction rehab. The cost will depend on if the client is in Partial Hospitalization (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient (IOP). The industry average lands between 3,000 and 10,000 dollars. Some facilities will charge by the day, at $250 to $350. Don’t worry if that seems pricey or above your means. Insurance will cover almost all of the cost of addiction treatment. Admissions experts at Avenues Recovery Centers can guide advise you exactly if there will be out-of-pocket costs, as well as giving you a number of options, such as grants or scholarships, to relieve you of the financial burden of drug and alcohol rehab treatment.

What is the difference between residential and outpatient treatment?

In a residential drug addiction rehab program, a client will move into the facility. All needs, such as room, board, and meals, are met. Clients are able to focus on the work of recovery. That is the recommended first stage of addiction rehab. PHP and IOP are ideally treatment step downs. After the right amount of progress has been made in inpatient treatment, outpatient programming allows clients to integrate outside responsibilities with addiction recovery. They will have time to hold jobs and find their own living arrangements.

What is the difference between PHP and IOP?

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) are a more intensive type of outpatient program. People enrolled in PHP will spend most of their day at the addiction treatment facility. At Avenues Recovery Center, sessions can take anywhere from 3 to 4 hours a day and are held 4 to 5 times a week. Clients will attend group therapy as well as one on one session with their assigned counselor. Once the day’s work is completed, the client can return home to their families. Sober living options should also be considered, and many times is strongly recommended.
IOP is even less time constraining. Sessions total nine hours a week and occur 3 to 5 time a  week. There are nighttime options available as well, allowing the client to hold down a job and attend to other responsibilities such as spending quality time with family and loved ones.
It is always a good idea to discuss with an addiction professional what the best option of drug and alcohol rehab is for your specific needs. At Avenues, there is always someone available to meet with you and have that important conversation.

How long is outpatient treatment?

There is no set number for outpatient treatment . Your decision on length of stay should be made after consulting an addiction professional and understanding your unique situation and circumstances. Stays in OP treatment should be set accordingly and can always be adjusted according to the clients progress.
At Avenues Recovery Center, extended stay options of 90 days or more are available, covered by insurance, and often see the best results.

Do I need outpatient treatment?

Discussing your situation with certified professionals is the best way for you to answer this question. A good rule of thumb to remember is how dependent you or your loved one is on their substance to function or for their happiness. Substance Use Disorder has many different levels of dependence and addiction. No one situation is the same and everyone needs the right addiction treatment program for them.

Do you offer sober living homes?

Although Avenues Recovery Center believes strongly in the benefits of Sober Living homes, it is not something we are able to offer on our own. However, our staff has very strong relationships with sober living options in their respective areas and will guide clients to the ones best suited for their situation and stage of recovery.

What is outpatient addiction treatment like?

Many therapy modalities and forms of counseling are used to treat Substance Use Disorder in OP. This includes group therapy, family therapy, and individual counseling. In many OP programs, alternative therapy options, such as art or equine therapy, are utilized as well.

Does insurance cover outpatient treatment?

Absolutely!
Nearly every insurance covers OP addiction treatment, including Medicare and Medicaid. The case management team at Avenues Recovery Centers will guide you through your coverages and ensure that you understand the benefits and coverages due to you or your loved one.
