Dr. Jefferey A. Berman has over 25 years of experience in addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine. He is a recognized leader in the field of substance use disorder and the co-occurring disorders that often accompany addiction.

Doctor Berman is a strong advocate for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for the treatment of mental illness and addiction related disorders.

He participated in NIDA’s groundbreaking clinical trials of Buprenorphine or Naloxone, and has developed models and delivery systems for addiction affected populations.

Dr. Berman is board certified in General, Addiction and Consultation Psychiatry (ABPN), Addiction Medicine (ABPM) and Anesthesiology (ABA) and he is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (DFASAM).
